With his wife Catherine (b:1798), he will have a fourth child, Catherine PIERSON (b:1829 Ohio) who will marry Joseph Francois MARCHAND (b: 15 MAR 1825 in Boron (Ht-Rhin) ) on 6 JUN 1847 in Canton, Stark Co., Ohio. 11 children with US descendants. Pierre LECOCQ Correspondence June 23, 2003 passengers #7-10 Marchand Mister Burnoaf, the redactor of the manifest, had some problems with the French first name "François"! He has written twice "Francoise": Francoise Marchand (7) and Francoise Persan (33), but they are true males, husbands and fathers... What he couldn't know was these two Francois would be bound twenty years later : (10) Joseph Marchand (b: 15 MAR 1825 in Boron Haut-Rhin )son of (7) Francois Marchand (b: 29 DEC 1798 in Boron, spouse (8) Marie Friez b: 2 OCT 1786 in Boron) married Catherine Pierson, daugther of (33) Francois Pierson-"Persan"(b: 1829) in Ohio where Marchand's family also settled (Stark Co.). A lot of US descendants. Pierre LECOCQ Correspondence July 24, 2003 passengers 78-83 Durement/Ecrement The Name of this family should be spelled Ecrement. #78, Pierre C, was listed as Claude Pierre when born 15 April 1787 in Ronchamp, Haute-Saone, France. We have researched this family in France and Stark Co. Ohio where they settled. I am a descendant of #80, Augustus Ecrement. #83 is a female who was called Jane in later records. We have a lot of information for this family. Jean Schneider
